HOW TO START ORIGAMI

The first thing you will need is a square of paper, because origami model are usually folded
from a square. You can buy paper square-sized, but you can also easily create your square from a rectangle.

And then try the simple models on Alex Barber's page.
For which paper to use, I think for easy models you should use simple copy paper, like it can be found everywhere for free
(old school worksheets can be used per example). Then, for more advises on which type of paper use for more complex
models, you can go on the Origami forum.

To learn crease patterns, I recommend Eilen's origami page and Ben Ball's site, and a lot of practice.
